Okay... this was the first pic I did in a program called OpenCanvas, which I'm sure everyone reading this has already heard of... suffice it to say it's new to me because I'm a clueless newbie. I learned my craft on Photoshop, and OC's layers make me go " AAARGHAAARGHAAARGHWTF???!!?!"
That said, I love the look. I'm definitely going to try and clean up/develop my work in OC. I'm moving away from using bright colours too - some of my older pics look horribly oversaturated, "Shadow and Melody" especially. I learned from someone on Side7 that the grayer side of the palette can look nicer and more realistic.
Sketched and outlined in Photoshop ('cause I'm a coward) and painted with the Watercolor brush and a great deal of swearing in OpenCanvas 1.1.
Hehe - is oC really that different? (don't worry, you're more experienced than me - I don't even have the program! ) Well, looks really great! Cute pic, and I love the coloring on this!
MWAAAAAAAAA.......*glomps, glpomps and glomps some more*
Thats WAY CUTE

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
